Getting familiar with Schoology
Modified on: Mon, 12 Sep 2022 10:14 AMThis document is a basic overview of the most commonly used features in Schoology, and some examples of how Schoology could be a powerful teaching and learning tool.
Our hope is that consider using Schoology as the online hub for your classes. However, if you choose to use another online tool, please (at a minimum) follow steps 6.1-6.2 to add links in your Schoology courses to your other resources. Doing so will allow help students find your resources more easily.
1. Go to meadowbrook.schoology.com
In your favorite browser, go to meadowbrook.schoology.com.
You'll be presented with a log in screen, which uses your Meadowbrook Google Apps account to log in.
You'll find it much easier to log in at meadowbrook.schoology.com rather than through schoology.com.
2. Enter your Meadowbrook Google Apps password
3. Select your course
After you log in, you'll be taken to the Rencent Activity page of Schoology. You likely want to dive in to one of your courses. Click the courses menu, then select the course you'd which to enter.
4. Course Home - setting up your course
You've now entered your new course. Often the first stop teachers like to make is to update the course photo to something that visually represents your course. To do so, hover over the default book image in the top left, and select Edit Image.
