As of the fall of 2018, we no longer use Google email groups to provide a way to email parents in bulk. Instead, we suggest either using the Blog feature (preferred) or the bulk email feature of MyMeadowbrook to email parent groups.
In this article, we'll be showing the two ways to email parents in bulk, and the advantages and disadvantages of both.
Log in to MyMeadowbrook
From www.meadowbrook-ma.org, click Login in the top right
Log in with your Meadowbrook account
Your username is the part of your meadowbrook-ma.org email address before the @ sign.
Click the group you'd like to message
In this case, we'll be showing how to message the 6th grade class.
Blog - the preferred method
Click Blog in the navigation bar to navigate to the blog.
Posting a blog article is much preferred as the method to message parents. A blog article remains visible to parents in the blog, which can easily be referred back to in the future. These entries are also available to you, and can be helpful in referring back to previous years. Finally, parents are instructed to turn on notifications for blog entries, so any blog entry will notify parents of the content you post.
Click the + New Blog Post to compose a new blog entry.
Compose your blog entry
Enter your title and content, using the formatting features to insert images, links, etc.
Click Publish to send your blog entry.
Less preferred method - Bulk email
Another option is to bulk email parents. This is less preferred as the message does not stay available in your sent box or on the website.
To send a bulk email, click the bulk email link under Members.
Compose your message
Select the recipients and compose your message. Consider BCCing yourself to keep a copy of the message in your email. Messages sent through bulk email are not saved in any way on the website.
