Using the Placement Database

Use these instructions to complete your recommendations. All recommendations and checkboxes must be "completed" by Tuesday, December 5th at 4:30 p.m.

Write your Narrative

In Google Drive, write your narratives and add them to a folder.

Navigate to the placement database website

On campus, go to placement.meadowbrook-ma.org or macserver02.meadowbrook-ma.org/fmi/webd/#Placement

Important! Off campus, first connect to the VPN server, then visit the website.

If you need to connect from off campus, please set this up and test BEFORE winter break.

Enter your Meadowbrook Username and Password

Enter your Meadowbrook username and password.

Wait as the system logs you in.

Upon logging in, you'll be presented with the teacher placement dashboard.

Let's tour the interface.

Important Notice - Saving

The database saves your work automatically. While there is no need to save as you work, there is also no "undo" feature.

Take care as you work!

Recommendations to do

This area lists students for which you need to complete a narrative.

Your narrative is duplicated for all other schools by default. You may then modify the narrative on a per-school basis.

If you'd like to customize a narrative for a specific school, please let Laurie know in advance.

Checkboxes must be set individually for each school.

Supplemental recommendations do not have the opportunity to edit the narrative on a per-school basis. Supplemental recommendations for a specific school, please let Laurie know in advance.

Checkboxes to do

This area lists the checkboxes you need to complete for each student's application.

The checkboxes are able to be set by the referring teacher on a school-by-school basis.

Selecting a student

When you click "View" by a student, you'll see the narrative area where you can copy and paste your narrative from Google Docs.

All Students Tab

The All Students tab lists each student, their grade, and the schools to which they are applying

All Schools Tab

The all schools tab lists each school with every Meadowbrook student who is applying to the school

The Status Menu

Use the status menu to indicate your progress on the narrative.

Once a narrative is marked "Completed", the placement director will review and mark the narrative as approved.

Using the Checkbox/Form

Each student will also require customized checkboxes for each school.

Use the Checkbox/Form tab to view the checkboxes for each school.

Editing checkboxes

Indicate your checkboxes.

Update your status, marking the form as complete for review.

Please only indicate one checkbox per row (for example, choose either Excellent or Very Good, but do not mark both).

Checkboxes - viewing other students applying to a school

As you complete your checkboxes, you'll see a helpful list of other students applying to the school, for your reference.

Copying checkboxes

If you'd like to use the same student's checkbox sequence, from one school to another, complete the checkboxes, then click the Copy this checkbox form button.

Pasting checkboxes

You can then paste the checkboxes to the other school, and adjust as needed. The list of other students applying to the school will be helpful in making these adjustments.

Viewing the form

You can view the form for the student at any time.

Viewing the forms

Here you can view the forms for the student.

Click the Return button to return to the dashboard.
