Vinyl Cutter Printing Set Up

Set up the Vinyl Cutter Computer to Cut your Design the Correct Size

Before you begin you need to use Adobe Creative Cloud to share your document with vinyl@meadowbrook-ma.org.

Cut a piece of vinyl 2" larger in each dimension than your design.

Vinyl Cutter is powered off.

Insert the Vinyl into the machine.

Use the small rollers to create a margin on the left and right.

Use the handle on the back to secure the vinyl in place.

Turn the machine on. Wait for it to warm up.

Press the down Arrow to change "Roll" to "Piece". Press Enter and the carriage will move.

The size of your vinyl will come up on the screen of the vinyl cutter.

On the PC Laptop attached to the vinyl cutter, login using the instructions labelled on the monitor.

Open Adobe Illustrator and find your file under Shared with you. Open it in Illustrator.

File -> Print.

Click Setup...

Click Preferences

Click Get from Machine. Click OK.

Click Print

Turn off Auto-Rotate

Placement: top-left corner (NOT center)

(This way we don't cut a big hole in the middle of the piece of vinyl and can waste less material.)

Click Done (NOT print) because the preview isn't updated. This will save your changes for the next print.

This file is ready to print because now the Boston Redsox logo is in the top-left corner of the vinyl in the preview, and is a readable size.

When it looks the correct size and location o the vinyl, click Print.
