Changing my Meadowbrook password with Classlink
Classlink Login Info
Your Classlink username is in the following format:
Students: first initial, last name, graduation year
Faculty: first initial, last name
Please note that your Classlink username is not your full Meadowbrook email address. Do not use @meadowbrook-ma.org when logging into Classlink.
Your Classlink password is the same password as your Meadowbrook Google account. When you change your password for Classlink, you are also changing your password for your Meadowbrook account.
Changing Password, Method 1: I know my current password
1. Log into Classlink at https://launchpad.classlink.com/meadowbrook. NOTE: Do not use “Sign in with Google”. Use your Classlink login info (see top of this page for more info).
If you are prompted to add 2-Factor Authentication to your account, please visit this article for instructions on setting it up.
1b. If you have 2-Factor Authentication already enabled, follow the instructions to either get a text message code, or get a code from an authenticator app (usually Google authenticator) on your phone. This app is called "Authenticator". Then, type in the code that is present for Classlink. If you are prompted to sign in to Authenticator, do so with your Meadowbrook account.
1c. If you don't see a code for Classlink, try logging in with any other Google accounts on your phone. Do this by pressing the profile icon in the top right corner, and either selecting another logged in account, or pressing "Add another account".
2. From the launchpad, click on your profile in the upper right hand corner.
3. Select "Settings" from the drop down menu that appears.
4. Select the "Recovery" tab from the pop up menu that appears.
5. Select "Change Password".
6. Type in your current password in the "Old Password" field. Type in your new password in the "New Password" field and again in the "Confirm Password" field. Then, select the green save button at the lower right hand corner of the screen.
Changing Password, Method 2: I forget my password
1. Navigate to Classlink at https://launchpad.classlink.com/meadowbrook and select "Help, I forgot my password" below the Google sign in button.
2. Enter your username where prompted (without the @meadowbrook-ma.org at the end), then click the blue checkmark.
3. Follow the prompts to reset your password and create a new one.
Syncing Your Computer & Your New Password
Your password is now changed! We strongly recommend that you follow these next steps to make sure your computer functions correctly. These steps are:
- Restart your computer & enter new login information
- Log in to Google Chrome with new login information
- Log in to Papercut with new login information
Restarting Your Computer
The very first thing to do is to restart your computer. Immediately after changing your password, your computer will basically "stop recognizing you" - ie, your currently logged in credentials no longer match. To alleviate this, you can restart your computer and type in your new password.
After going through the Mosyle login steps, you will be told that your local user and Single Sign-On password do not match. Type in your OLD password, then hit Enter to continue.
Re-Log In To Chrome
Once you have restarted and logged back in, you will need to sign into Chrome. Open the Chrome browser, and you should see "Paused" next to your profile picture in the top right corner of the browser. Click on that, then hit "Sign in again".
This will also log you into Gmail, Drive, and any other Google services that you use in Chrome.
Re-Log In To Papercut
Last but not least, you need to re-log in to the printer/papercut. Go to any webpage or document (I usually just go to google.com), and hit Cmd and P together to bring up the print screen. Make sure that the printer you are using is papercutvirtualqueue, then hit "Print". (You don't actually have to print out whatever you're sending to the printer -- feel free to delete the print job next time you find yourself by a printer.)
Once you have done that, find the Print Center icon on the dock at the bottom of your screen, and click on it to bring it up.
You will likely have the print job you just put in, with a note that says "Hold for authentication". From here, click on the icon with a lock/circular arrow at the far right of that print job.
You will be prompted to enter your new password. After doing so, the print job should go through and disappear. (Make sure to select "Remember this password in my keychain" if you don't want to have to do this every time you print!)
If the print job stays and says "Hold for authentication" again, that means you have entered your new password incorrectly. Please click the icon & enter your credentials again.
You are all set - congrats on a successful password change!
