2-Step Verification/Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Setup
All Meadowbrook Google accounts require Multi-Factor Authentication for security purposes. For this process & logging in to your account, you will need your phone. You will also get a series of backup codes incase you do not have your phone when logging in in the future.
Setting Up MFA
- After logging into your Meadowbrook account for the first time, accept Google's Terms of Service.
- You will be prompted to enroll in 2-Step Verification. Click "Enroll".

If you click "Do this later" or did not get this prompt: In your Google Account (myaccount.google.com), click "Security". Then, under "How you sign in to Google", click "2-Step Verification".

- On the next screen, click "Turn on 2-Step Verification". Then, add your phone number. By default, you will receive codes by text message; feel free to change to voice message if you prefer. Then, click "Next".

- Google will send you a verification code. Type it into the text box, then click "Verify".

- You are all set with MFA! Click "Done" to finish.
Enabling Backup Codes
It's important to have a backup in case our phone is not with us. Google has an option to use a backup code for MFA in these circumstances. Let's enable it for our account.
- In your Google Account (myaccount.google.com), click "Security". Then, under "How you sign in to Google", click "2-Step Verification".

- Under "Second Steps", click on the option for "Backup codes".

- Click "Get backup codes". Please secure the 10 backup codes in a secure location. They should not be stored somewhere that requires your Meadowbrook account login to access, eg your work computer.
